Rewards: Small Side Points Dark Side Points
In the game of Kotor 1, almost all of your companions have their unique “Companion Quest” that tells an exclusive storyline for their character. To trigger these quests, you’ll need to interact with your fellow party players and watch their stories to create new Journal entries. Sometimes, you may converse with them via the Ebon Hawk, or have them around the world, to help advance their plot, at sometimes, you’ll require specific instances.
Events can be triggered by your companions on any planet located in the city’s port and port. Tatooine Docking Bay and Dantooine Jedi Enclave are great locations where you can trigger events. The Side Quest involving Mission’s brother Griff begins in one event that occurs throughout the game.
*Warning* If you do not clear the Sand People Enclave before beginning the quest, Griff will not be in The Sand People Enclave, and you’ll not have the ability to complete the quest. If you don’t bring Mission with you while visiting the Sand People Enclave and rescuing Griff, you’ll be missing the majority of dialogue required in this quest.

Once you’ve completed this quest and gone to Tatooine, you’ll be able to inquire with the Czerka of the Hunting Lodge in Anchorhead about Griff. You’ll receive an updated Journal entry by speaking to the Officer of Protocol at this Location, which is an essential aspect of the quest if you wish to get the most out of it. Talking directly to the NPC will set you up for the second part of this quest, which involves Griff and Tach Gland. Tach Gland.
Griff is located inside his home in the Sand People Enclave. He’s one of two individuals who are being held in prison here.
To gain access to The Sand People Enclave, you’ll have to dress in disguise so that they won’t be able to recognize them as you. For more details about this and an explanation of both the violent and nonviolent methods, look at my Tatooine Walkthrough.
In your dialogue with Griff in The Sand People Enclave, choose whatever dialogue option you prefer. The only option that can earn the player Dark Side Points is if you are threatening that you will kill Griff. Mission will block you if you threaten to kill him; however, if Mission is not present, you are free to kill Griff should you wish to.
If you’re assuming that you spoke with the Officer of Protocol before the quest, Griff will advise you to go to Czerka Office. Czerka Office in Anchorhead before leaving the Sand People Enclave. If you decide to return to Anchorhead, you’ll need to go to the Czerka Office and speak to Griff in the office (pictured below).
Griff will want you to procure Griff will ask you to purchase a Tach Gland from Kashyyyk for the latter, which you could or might not have. There are no chances to earn Light Side or Dark Side Points during your first meeting with Griff… Once the conversation is finished, you’ll be capable of talking to Mission concerning her younger brother. The conversation could provide possibilities.
(Before providing Griff Tach Gland) A few Light Side Effects: Talk to Mission and tell him, “No one can teach this lesson to him, Mission. He must learn it by himself.”
(Before providing Griff Tach Gland) The Dark Side points: Talk to Mission and tell him, “What do you care? He left you to die on Taris!”
When you’ve returned Griff by using his Tach Gland, he’ll thank you and attempt to persuade you to give credit for his next fantastic idea. As you probably imagine, Griff will never repay any credit you loan him, so don’t. You won’t get Light Side Points for giving Griff Credits and enabling his poor behavior, but you could get Dark Side Points by threatening him with, “Ask me again, and your Tach gland isn’t the only fresh-harvested organ on the planet!” If he tries to nag you to pay him money.
After giving him an injection of the Tach Gland and waiting awhile, you’ll return to Greeta Holda holding a note to your attention from Griff. The situation was not as good, and Griff fled the scene instead of admitting the mistakes he usually makes. It would help if you spoke to Mission after this conversation, and you’ll be given a chance to win Light Side or Dark Side Points once more. You can tell Mission never to abandon her brother to get Light Side Points or tell Mission that you’ll kill her brother if you meet him again in exchange for Dark Side Points.
