Chains of Honor Runeword in an Ebugged Sacred Armor.
Ebugging a piece Armor on Diablo 2 is a well practice that increases the armor’s defense by 50%, while also adding Sockets. To Ebug the armor you’ll require a plain bit made of Ethereal Armor (Not Superior or Low Quality) and the right items required to perform the combination within the Horadric Cube.
The most popular applications of Ebugged Armor or Helms are to use them as Mercenary equipment. If the Mercenary gets injured or dies, their gear is not affected by any loss in durability. Because of this, the Mercenary can use an item of Ethereal gear for years without having to worry over it falling apart.
To Ebug a piece of armor, you’ll have to follow the same recipes employed to add sockets on an object. The recipes you can employ to Ebug an armor piece are listed below . They are drawn from my personal collection.
1 Tal Rune + 1 Thul Rune + 1 Perfect Topaz + Normal Body Armor = Socketed Body Armor
The item that you’re using has to be normal. No sockets , not low-quality or Superior. It should be a normal, old thing. The number of sockets an item can be used for is random and will depend on the ilvl of equipment utilized.
1 Ral Rune + 1 Thul Rune + 1 Perfect Sapphire + Normal Helm = Socketed Helm
The item you’re using should be normal. It must have no sockets and be not inferior or low-quality. It must be a normal, basic old item . The number of sockets it can use is random and is dependent on the ilvl of equipment utilized.

1 Tal Rune + 1 Amn Rune + 1 Perfect Ruby + Normal Shield = Socketed Shield
The item that you’re using should be normal. It must have no sockets and be not inferior or low-quality. It must be a normal, basic old item . The number of sockets it can be used for is random and is based on the level of the equipment utilized.
It’s important to note that you can add sockets in an Ethereal weapon as well, however they don’t receive an extra bonus, like armor does. The Ebug is said to exist on armor due to the fact that at one time, the Horadric Cube removed the Ethereal bonus after you had completed this recipe, and Blizzard changed it by making the cube reapply bonus. Now, it’s no longer removing bonuses, it simply adds the bonus of 50% to the armor each time, fantastic isn’t it?
Chest Armor is the most frequently Ebugged armor, followed by Helms but not many Ebug shields because there are no Runewords for shields which make the shield indestructible and only one type of Mercenary utilizes shields. There is one Runeword which repairs Durability over time, and is beneficial for Ebugged armors for players, The word Prudence. It comes with two sockets. is a decent mid-level armor Runeword.
Below I will give you an example of me Ebugging armor to observe it in motion.
