It’s said that fishing is in the every RPG today. Perhaps they’re right. However, Final Fantasy 14isn’t an RPG that’s just another It’s an MMO. In every MMO, fishing is included as well. This is a double win right there. We’re sorry to say it however, they got us hooked, line, and sinker with this one.
Fortunately, the fishing in FF14 is being praised. Many players have cited it as their most favored Disciple of the Land job It’s more lively as Botany and Mining, especially in the most recent updates. We’ll look at what that means and how you can get the most out of your fishing experience as we look at the best way to progress the class up from a land-based beginning to the seasoned and sea-worthy 90.
Unlocking Fisher
Regarding Guide Format
Before we get started it’s possible to notice an essential difference in how our Fisher guide to class is laid out in comparison to other guides. This Botany book is a great illustration. In the guide we break down the process by stages of leveling: first joining up to 20 and 40. Then, from 60 to until 80 and at 90, and finally up to.
Although the initial part will be discussed in this section We’ll go in another direction, as Ocean Fishing quickly becomes the most effective method to get it to the highest level. It’s available technically as soon as you get an item in the Fisher class, but we’d recommend waiting until 20-25 hours before taking a spin. We’ll talk about that in the future.
Becoming a Fisher
Your trip towards the ocean blue begins at the town of Limsa, Lominsa. There, you’ll find the Fishermen’s Guild and its eclectic roster of characters. To be a member of this guild you need to be a member of at the very least at least one Disciple of War or Magic class that is at a level of 10 or higher. That’s all there is — but with the caveat that, except for Marauder, Rogue, or Arcanist and you’ll need to go sufficiently far into the main plot in order to get to Limsa Lominsa at all.

Prioritize Main Quests
Final Fantasy 14 offers some delightful rewards for exploring the Eorzea’s corner However, it also gives ample opportunities for staying on an even and straight. When you’ve reached the minimum stage for an exciting brand new Fisher quest, it’s best to prioritize it over everything else. Not only are quests in main quests great for gaining experience which is the purpose of this guide! Additionally, you’ll get great gear for your level that can help you cut down on the amount of gold you spend.
We’ll guide you now through an extensive set of Fisher job hunts from one to. After 70, things become slightly different, so we’ll cover the details separately.
These quests can be described within A Realm Reborn, Heavensward and Stormblood. When Shadowbringers arrives, Fisher quests are shuffled into a brand new game called Crystarium Deliveries.
With Crystarium Deliveries every Disciple from the Hand and Land is given numerous quests at predetermined intervals of levels, with each quest requiring six of the specified item or items be exchanged. (Hence “deliveries.”) The majority of classes that aren’t combat-related are split between only four NPCs in the Crystarium However, Fishers have the mighty male Frithrik (pictured in the above image) entirely by themselves. What’s not to like? We think it’s lovely.
Crystarium Deliveries net plenty of experience points. Don’t be shocked to discover that you’re almost in your 70s. Bolster your leveling by playing the addition of Ocean Fishing or conventional grinding to get to 80 within a matter of minutes.
In the year 80 Crystarium Deliveries have been replaced by Deliveries released Deliveries out Old Sharlayan. The formula is essentially identical, but however, there’s a new storyline with another NPC , this time, totally committed to the fine art of fishing instead of dispersing their skills across several assignments.
Endwalker’s Studium Deliveries as well as their Shadowbringers ancestors are likely to bring you around a level per quest reward. (If not the complete level, it’s still pretty close. Make sure you turn in top-quality items to guarantee the highest quality!)
Ocean Fishing Is The Best Leveling Path
As we’ve seen, Ocean Fishing is the most effective method to increase your level Fisher fast within Final Fantasy 14. What is it that makes this such a great experience? What is the secret behind why Fishers even exist before its appearance at Shadowbringers 5.2l? (Hint it: they leveled as any of the other Disciple of the Land class that seems adorablely old-fashioned in retrospect.)
Players can unlock Ocean Fishing as soon as they’re Fishers. There’s no red tape and just beautiful journeys. Talk to Fhilsnoe in the Fishermen’s Guild, and he’ll have things sorted out. Each two-hour period (real-time but, please note but isn’t Eorzea Timing) the NPC known as Dryskthota located at The Limsa Lower Decks pier invites all Fishermen who are able (that’s the majority of us) to board the Endeavorand embark for a thrilling fishing trip.
There are a variety of locations. Endeavorwill will stop at numerous key points. At each location the participants are given seven minutes to catch the most amount of fish they can. A vendor on the boat will sell lures, for example, ones that cannot be purchased elsewhere. Rarely are they required but they’re not essential; make your judgment regarding this one.
Ocean Fishing is great to level up because the amount of experience gained increases as you progress in. There’s no time to be had with this mechanic as the points gains will be clearly evident upon your monitor. In addition, although the level one to fifty Ocean Fishing expeditions are “just” to help level up higher levels, higher ranges will award the Gatherer’s Scrips that can be exchanged into better equipment, material and more.
Revisiting Fishing In 6.2
Since our guide has been updated to patch 6.2 of Endwalker this week, we’ve decided to give the guide a second look and found that Ocean Fishing is still the best option. However, Old Sharlayan Levequestsshouldn’t be overlooked. Since you’re only able to do each Endwalker and Shadowbringers quest once, you’ll need to add Levequests.
If and when major adjustments are made to optimize FF14 fishing levels we’ll inform you!
The Aquarium
The Final Fantasy 14’s aquarium function isn’t tied to leveling it to the Fisher class. If it is in fact tied to it, it’s not even tangential. It’s really fun, and if you’re new in the game, or simply taking classes in Gatherer There’s a good chance that you’re not sure the things you’re missing out on.
Imagine this. You catch an animal. Then, you get to keep the fish. In an aquarium, along together with other fish, stunningly lit up in the privacy of your personal (in-game) place of residence. Frankly, it’s rad.
It’s also astonishingly real. You’ll have to choose whether you want to fill your tank with saltwater or freshwater. As you’re likely aware, placing a aquarium with the incorrect kind of water can kill the fish. This is not what we’re trying for here.
Aquariums are available in a variety of sizes that include Small Medium, Large and XL. The amount of fish, and their sizes in proportion that can be housed in each aquarium is determined by the size of the aquarium. Of course, you can possess multiple aquariums to create a beautiful backyard paradise to house your abundance of fish.
There are currently 25 small Freshwater Fish. There are also 10 small Saltwater Fish and 58 medium Freshwater Fish 24 Medium Saltwater Fish 18 large Freshwater Fish 24 large Saltwater Fish 18XL Freshwater Fish and 17 Large Saltwater Fish available in aquariums.
The Perfectionist’s Rod
Freshwater Fish 24 Patch 6.2 introduces a brand new top-of-the-line fishing Rod. Ownership will, naturally permit players to increase their stats in order to match the latest catches. The Perfectionist’s rod is part of the Gathering Perfectionist Set which includes all of available at anyone Purple Scrip vendor for 500 Purple Scrips. Dress up in the Perfectionist’s Gathering Set to dominate the fishing scene… at least until 6.3!
